Clean Energy Connections is a program created by Solar One and NYC ACRE at NYU-Poly where NYC’s clean economy convenes, collaborates and grows. Combining live discussion panels with an online platform, the series brings together thought-leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and investors to share best practices and new inspirations shaping NYC’s cleantech industry.
About the partners:
Solar One’s mission is to empower people with the knowledge and resources to unleash and build sustainability in their communities. We inspire learning and innovation that result in more sustainable and resilient urban environments. Our programs help individuals and communities explore new ways of living and working that are more adaptive to a changing world. We do all of this in an engaging, intellectually honest, meaningful and entertaining way that leaves people inspired and empowered, facilitating community-wide change.
The New York City Accelerator for a Clean and Resilient Economy (NYC ACRE) helps clean technology and renewable energy companies grow, advancing the city as a role model for a low-carbon future while also creating jobs. NYC stands to gain significantly by helping innovative startup technology companies that are able to address our most pressing energy and environmental needs. NYC ACRE is dedicated to growing an ecosystem of entrepreneurs, international companies, and innovative local businesses that provide solutions to climate and energy issues in NYC. NYC ACRE is located at the Urban Future Lab (UFL) in downtown Brooklyn, a partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). The UFL is a marriage of the city’s premiere cleantech incubator with a state-of-the-art exhibition space, and is dedicated to envisioning and realizing innovation in the cleantech sector.
